					<description><![CDATA[<p>Brian Faulkner, BSc (Hons), BVM&#38;S, CertGP(SAM), CertGP (BPS), MBA, MSc(Psych), FRCVS, graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 1995 and has since worked in over 250 veterinary practices as a locum clinician as well as coaching in hundreds more.  He founded five start-up veterinary practices in Suffolk and continues to work as a first opinion clinician at Aldeburgh Vets. Alongside owning his own practices, Brian also facilitates vetpreneurs who wish to start their own practice by co-investing and supporting them through Vetcentric, a Joint Venture Partnership company. Brian was named Petplan UK Vet of the Year in 2008. An Associate Professor in Veterinary Business at Nottingham University, Brian also works independently as a practice management consultant, veterinary business partner, and communications psychologist via Vetology.  He speaks regularly on many aspects of non-clinical veterinary practices at conferences all around the world.  He also serves as Veterinary Consultant for Petplan Pet Insurance.  In 2017, Brian served as President of the UK Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons and founded Colourful CPD, an online CPD provider acquired by Agilio Software in 2023. He also established the British Veterinary Receptionist Association. Brian’s accolades include the RCVS Fellowship for outstanding clinical practice and the RCVS Inspiration Award for his charity work and professional support. Notably, Brian has completed numerous marathon challenges, raising over £130,000 for charity.
